2020 Wichita Riverfest

Unfortunately, this year’s Wichita Riverfest has been cancelled due to increasing concerns about COVID-19.

Wichita Festivals is planning a large-scale, community celebration scheduled for November 5-8 in downtown Wichita. Check back for more information, as many of your favorite Riverfest events (River Run, TouchATruck, Medallion Hunt, etc) will happen during that time in addition to new events highlighting Wichita’s vibrant arts and music scenes.

Wichita Festivals is also planning a Virtual Riverfest 2020, featuring some nods to your favorite classic events, live fun and entertainment, and chances to share your Riverfest memories, all via Wichita Riverfest’s social media channels.

Riverfest started nearly 50 years ago as a way to celebrate and unify the community during Wichita’s Centennial. Now, the jam-packed, fun-filled nine days of excitement is the largest and longest-running festival in the region.

Get ready to experience Wichita’s biggest tradition with newer features like Project PopCon (a fusion of the former WichiCon and Midwest eSports), drone races and performances by the Wichita Wurlitzer as well as old favorites like opening fireworks, the Riverfest parade, the River Run, stock tank races and hot air balloons.

There will be so much fun packed into this festival, you need to stay all week!

Stay tuned for this year’s event information, concert schedules, food court vendors and family-friendly activities.
